Amy-Alison Ward is a Connecticut–based mixed-media painter working in oil, acrylic, pastels, and textured materials.

She studied fine arts at Antioch College learning painting and intaglio print making, and painting at Silvermine Arts Guild. In addition to other freelance courses, she enjoys painting with groups of other inspiring artists for the nurturing camaraderie and community.

Her work investigates the macrocosm and microcosm of the natural world from the vastness of the cosmos to the molecular level. She explores humanity’s relationship with nature, our inner emotional landscapes and our attitude’s toward our bodies and the Earth upon which we live and depend.

Amy-Alison’s current exhibit “Earth in Transition”explores planetary changes driven by climate change and the effects of human development on ecosystems and our sister species. She has shown work in multiple group shows and previous solo exhibitions.
